5 Video Games That Need More Attention

This list explores five such games, each offering distinct gameplay experiences and captivating narratives to those willing to venture outside the mainstream. From breathtaking adventures to innovative mechanics, these titles promise an experience beyond expectations that is sure to enthrall players looking for something different from mainstream entertainment.

Rise of the Ronin

The buzz surrounding Rise of the Ronin is palpable. This game in the style of Nioh and Ghost of Tsushima is the latest in this space. You may be wondering if it's a ronin's redemption or revenge? There is an emotional core – a past shrouded in tragedy - that supports the difficult combat gameplay. It's clear that if you buy Rise of the Ronin, you do it for its combat but it's good to know that it will connect with you on different levels. The combat looks brutal and unforgiving. Expect intense sword clashes and strategic depth as you master the art of the warrior. In addition, the open-world Potential is visible. Lush landscapes and bustling towns hint at an expansive world ripe for exploration. Will Rise of the Ronin offer the same level of freedom as Ghost of Tsushima? Will you become a vengeful force or a beacon of hope in this decaying world?

Baldur's Gate 3

I think we should not forget so quickly about Baldur's Gate 3, one of the best games of its kind recently published. I mentioned several times being pleasantly surprised by Baldur's Gate 3's turn-based combat despite not typically enjoying the genre. This is a great reminder to keep an open mind when trying new games, you never know what hidden gems you might discover. In a sense, I am one of those who bought Baldur's Gate 3 not because I like the genre but because of the hype. I was not disappointed but rather pleasantly surprised. Players are also able to select the character of their choice and join together with other players to create the party. Contrary to previous games of the Baldur's Gate series The Baldur's Gate 3 features turn-based combat that is like Larian's earlier titles Divinity: Original Sin and Divinity: Original Sin II The combat system is based upon the D&D 5th Edition rules.

For those seeking an immersive experience that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional gaming, Baldur's Gate 3 beckons.

Marvel's Spider-Man 2

I've been counting down the days to buy Spider-Man 2 and swing through the city like a true superhero. I find it thrilling to have the opportunity to have both Peter and Miles Morales working together (fighting together?) and I have no doubts this will be a great game. Imagine trying to infiltrate an enemy base undetected. In that situation, Peter might make for the perfect protagonist; using web-slinging and gadgets he is adept at sneaking his way through any environment undetected. On the other hand, for those wanting a more daring approach such as dismantling street gangs quickly with style then Miles offers more. Miles' web-slinging style entails using raw energy and momentum for maximum effect, channeling bioelectricity from his cells into propelling himself through the air with ease; almost as though he were using his webs as breakdance moves against gravity.

Despite these minor hiccups, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 is a triumph.

The Outlast Trials

Here, the greatest fear you face will come from within yourself - an internal struggle that threatens to tear apart all that remains of your sanity - the trailer for which is an eye-opener full of psychological turmoil and terror. Cold, sterile hallways morph and twist into disturbing parodies of therapy sessions that hint at something far darker beneath. Now let's talk atmosphere: Cold War settings serve not just as backdrops; they create an oppressive blanket of paranoia and distrust that cannot be dispelled easily. Every corner seems to conceal something horrific created through some bizarre scientific procedure. You never know who or what you can trust! Buy The Outlast Trials and prepare yourself for an overload of disturbing imagery ranging from blood-curdling screams echoing down empty corridors to sights so grotesque they will make you question what lunch choices were wise. But fear not purists; gore and disturbing visuals remain intact in full glory! However, they've now found themselves immersed in an irresistibly dark 1950s suburban nightmare! The atmosphere is fantastic; providing an incredible setting for what lies in wait ahead. A shout-out goes out to all the new players joining us tomorrow; welcome aboard! To all my reagents as you embark upon their trials: don't forget your courage (and extra underwear if possible!).

The Outlast Trials goes beyond the usual horror fare.

Skull and Bones

Be warned, buccaneers! Ubisoft's Skull and Bones pirate adventure trailer has unleashed much speculation across social media networks and has fans buzzing with excitement! Attracting visitors with promises of "unparalleled adventures", pirate vacation packages can promise unforgettable adventures - but is this truly what they had been dreaming of or simply another attempt at selling you the dream? While Skull and Bones has an appealing world and thrilling premise, making a judgment call solely based on its trailer can be treacherous waters. I would buy Skull and Bones but I have to observe that is not a game for everyone. A lot depends on its RPG promises being fulfilled well; its depth of story; and long-term naval combat appeal. As for landlubbers wishing for adventure on the high seas; only time, review, and further evaluation will tell but this trailer promises adventure galore on these waters - Arrrrrr!

Skull and Bones promises an explosion of visuals, plunder, and plunder promises!

Hidden gems often go unseen within the ever-evolving video gaming landscape, leading to critically acclaimed but commercially underappreciated such as AAA titles going unnoticed by consumers. Here we offer five such titles; each offering unique gameplay experiences and captivating narratives that deserve wider consideration - be they breathtaking adventures or innovative mechanics these games have something special in store to surprise and excite their players beyond mainstream genres.
