New Action-RPG games for PlayStation 5

This year brought us some of the most amazing role-playing video games that we can enjoy on our PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X consoles. Let's make a quick update regarding the action-role playing and RPG games that come out in 2021. It is a selection of the best new PS5 role-playing games published recently. On short, the best PS5 ARPG games of 2021 are:

  • Biomutant
  • Scarlet Nexus
  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Biomutant

BioMutant is an open-world RPG that proposes a post-apocalyptic Kung-Fu fable using a distinctive martial arts styled battle system letting you combine melee, shooting, and mutant skill actions. This is by far the best-looking RPG this year. These kinds of graphics and animations are something that you can see in Pixar's movies. It is breathtaking, absolutely spectacular. Unfortunately, the combat is not at the same level. Rather simple and not that rewarding. Enemies are mainly the exact same essential archetypes with distinct fur coats, and while they are all amazing to behold, they are not more fun to battle after a few of hours, in part due to how fast your stats and forces balloon in Biomutant. But you will want to buy this game because of its strong points. I guarantee you that you never had the chance to experience such amazing graphics and animations. From enormous creatures in denim vests to oily-eyed tree stump wolves, all biomutants look fantastic!

Mass Effect Legendary Edition

Mass Effect Legendary Edition update is so modern that anyone can play it. But the changes are not keeping old players aside. All can still enjoy the amazing story and characters, probably the best features of this collection. While combat and driving sections still suffer, it is enjoyable to return to a world that is rich with lore. It involves players a lot and captivates them, as any good action role-playing game should do. Every world contains at least one crucial, life-or-death choice, proof of an awesome story, filled with moral decisions. Replaying the game made me realize with surprise how eager I am to get the next Mass Effect game. For the moment, I keep busy with Legendary Edition. This is one of my recommendations for action role-playing fans.

Scarlet Nexus

Bandai attempted to create a character-focused RPG using Devil May Cry 5, Nier Automata, and Astral Chain proved a success. It's almost perfect gameplay-wise. The gameplay is great and the combat is much more fun than the previous Bandai titles. I would prefer combat weren't so light and floaty, but still an excellent way to complement the story. Scarlet Nexus is Bandai Namco’s best release to date, having seen the entire God Eater franchise and Code Vein. The combat is amazing, simple, and original. Combining your abilities with others and using them on the battlefield will give you the advantage you need. Your telekinesis can be used to destroy your enemies. Hanabi's or Luka's pyrokinesis can also be used to kill your enemies. You can dodge enemy attacks and intercept projectiles. It is very fast-paced. Brain Points are used to unlock and upgrade fighting abilities. Although I usually do all I can in a single game, I wanted to see every detail on this one. It was an excuse to go back to fight more. This game is one of the best looking this year, thanks to its unique aesthetic and "brainpunk world".
